Malin combines aerial acrobatics, drag and absurd physical theatre to create a stage style rarely seen in Salzburg. This will be the Pride Festival Salzburg 2026
This year marks the fourth time Salzburg has celebrated its Pride Festival. What began as a CSD march has, over the years, become a fixture in the city of Mozart. The slogan is once again “Be visible, Schatzi”. A slogan that encourages queer people to be themselves and to join others in sending a colourful message of visibility and respect. Salzburg shows colours
From the Stonewall Riots in New York to rainbow flags in Salzburg. Although there are still just under three months to go until the Salzburg Pride Festival, Pride Month is already making its presence felt in Salzburg. Hiking at the Pride Festival
A new addition to this year’s Salzburg Pride Festival: hiking and a mountain hut party are now part of the programme. Salzburg provides the perfect setting for this, nestled picturesquely at the foot of the Alps. This is reflected in the programme for this year’s Pride Festival: a Pride hike up Salzburg’s Gaisberg and an evening mountain hut party at an Alpine inn, featuring home-cooked food and a drag show. Frida’s world
Frida Kahlo was a Mexican artist who painted many self-portraits as a result of her tragic life story. As a Marxist, she was an important voice in Mexican politics and had a turbulent love life, having affairs with both men and women whilst she was married to her husband. Now, the Salzburg State Theatre is staging a revival of the ballet “Frida’s World” during the 2026/27 season, starting in October. [Read more]

Elisabeth Fuchs
Elisabeth Fuchs founded the Salzburg Philharmonic 25 years ago and has been its principal conductor ever since. Over the years, she has built up a wide-ranging musical network – from young children at the Children’s Festival to the professional musicians in the Philharmonic.
