Festival Opening Celebration
Concerts, open rehearsals, artist talks, guided tours, and much more to kick off the 2026 Salzburg Festival
“The whole city is a stage.” True to the vision of festival founder Max Reinhardt, Salzburg will transform into one big stage from July 18–19 and July 24, and the theater doors will open to everyone. There will be music, dance, and performances in concerts, open rehearsals, artist talks, guided tours, and much more.
