Gaisberg Race 2025
The 21st ‘Gaisberg Race for Historic Cars’ in and around Salzburg
The ‘Gaisberg Race for Historic Cars’ is taking place for the 21st time this year. The event, which runs from 19 to 21 June, is organised by the ACC, the Austrian Classic Circle. For three days, classic car enthusiasts will compete on various routes in picturesque Salzburg and Upper Austria in timed races and regularity trials.
But it’s not all about the competitions. On the Thursday before the race, participants will have the opportunity to present their treasures on four wheels to the public at Salzburg’s Residenzplatz. A rolling outdoor museum. Friday is all about the races on the Gaisberg, covering a distance of 120 kilometres. On Saturday, stamina and concentration are required for the race in regularity mode at the Salzburgring. On Saturday, it’s ‘Ready, set, go!’ for all participants and spectators at the Salzburgring. Finally, in the evening, the big award ceremony takes place at Hangar-7.
The Gaisberg Race has been bringing the classic car scene together for 20 years. Drivers and interested parties have the opportunity to exchange ideas about their shared passion and find out more. Events like this also show how diverse Salzburg’s events are and how much there is to experience in the city of Mozart and the surrounding area. All the important information can be found on the Gaisbergrennen website.
Historic cars are also popular among queer people. Take the Motorboys, for example.
