Jazz&The City Sounds – the jazz festival in Salzburg’s old town. Four days of concerts, performances and improvisation with free admission.
Contemporary musical diversity and improvisation with international flair – that’s the Jazz&TheCity festival. Salzburg’s baroque old town is the impressive stage for this urban festival, with fresh ideas and interesting collaborations.
Rousing big bands perform on the open-air stage on Residenzplatz. The musical programme is expanded with new club sounds and genres such as world music to include a nightline. The musical focus this year is on ‘spiritual jazz’. A jazz mass is also planned for the first time. Of course, there will once again be surprising performances and improvisations in hidden places in the old town. And, as always, admission to all events is free. Click here for the programme.
