Ballet by the Salzburg State Theatre about the legendary nightclub in New York in the 1970s and 80s

The New York nightclub Studio 54 was known for its wild parties in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Celebrities and the extravagant atmosphere became the epicentre of New York nightlife. Visitors embodied the freedom and creativity for which the nightclub was known. The club’s inclusive atmosphere allowed people from all walks of life to be part of the cultural revolution of the time.

Young Neapolitan choreographer Vincenzo Veneruso is now creating a piece for the ballet of the Salzburg Landestheaterfor the first time. The piece will be performed 18 times between 30 April and 21 June 2026. The premiere is on 30 April 2026.
