Pride im Pinzgau

Unken Pride 2025

A demonstration march, speeches in front of the local town hall, a cosy finale and an after-show party lasting late into the night: that’s what Unken Pride 2025 will be all about.

On 19 July, the Unken Pride Parade organised by the Heublumen association will take place for the fourth time. With lederhosen, dirndls and rainbows, people will demonstrate for queer rights and visibility in rural areas in the mountain village of Unken in the Pinzgau region of Salzburg. The programme includes a demonstration march, speeches in front of the local town hall, a cosy get-together and an after-show party until late at night in the Kniepass Fortress. This fortress was built in the early Middle Ages. As it is located in a pass through a narrow valley in the shape of a knee, it was christened Kniepass Fortress. The last renovation of the fortress will be completed this summer, and the first event in the newly renovated fortress will be the Unken Pride after-show party. So put on your traditional costumes and throw your rainbow flags over your shoulders. Unken Pride is just around the corner. The meeting point for the warm-up is the Oberrain campus in Unken at 1:00 p.m. (sb)
