On the move in Salzburg
Salzburg has 150,000 inhabitants. Many routes can be easily covered on foot or by hire bike. The cycle path network is very well developed. Hellbrunner Allee, which is closed to motor traffic, leads to Hellbrunn Palace with its famous water features and the adjacent zoo. And many cycle routes lead to the surrounding area and beyond. Several bike rental shops offer the option of renting bikes and e-bikes to explore the city a little more extensively. Holders of the Salzburg Card receive a discount from some providers.

The Tauern Cycle Path (175 kilometers) leads, coming from Oberndorf, along the Salzach River to Hallein, Golling or Krimml. The Mozart Cycle Path is a 450 kilometer long circular route through the Salzburger Land and Bavaria. The Salzkammergut Cycle Path opens up 345 kilometers of the most beautiful views of 13 lakes along the way. And the Gaisberg, Heuberg and Untersberg mountains close to the city offer beautiful and challenging mountain bike routes.
