It has towered over the city for more than 1,000 years and bears witness to a long history in both political and economic terms. That was the Pride Parade Salzburg 2025

Yesterday (6 September), the big CSD parade marched from Salzburg Central Station to Nonntal University. What made this year special was that, for the first time, the mayor of Salzburg gave a welcoming speech at the start of the parade, emphasising the city’s solidarity with its queer population. After a slight delay, a cheerful crowd made its way across the Staatsbrücke bridge through the city of Mozart. Here are some pictures of the parade. [Read more]

Pride Month June in Salzburg

June is also known as Pride Month. Dating back to the Stonewall Riots in New York in 1969, which marked the beginning of the modern gay and lesbian movement and are now much more inclusive, Pride parades are held around the world to celebrate queer self-awareness. Although Salzburg Pride does not take place until the end of August, Salzburg offers many opportunities to celebrate this date in June. [Read more]
